CHOCOLATE SYRUP CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
4 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. can chocolate syrup

Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and beat after each addition. Add chocolate and beat. Add flour to which baking powder and salt have been added. Add vanilla and beat 2 minutes. Bake in floured (12 3/4 x 19 inch) pan for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

ICING FOR CAKE:

1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. chocolate chips

Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil. Boil slowly for 3 minutes. Turn off heat and add chocolate chips. Pour over hot cake. "Very rich and good"
