CHOCOLATE SYRUP CAKE 
CAKE:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. self rising flour
1 (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup

ICING:

1/2 c. butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts

CAKE: Cream butter and sugar. Add other ingredients alternating with syrup. Pour into greased and floured 13"x9" pan and bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

ICING: Combine butter, cocoa and milk. Bring to a boil. Add sugar. Beat until creamy. Add vanilla and nuts if desired. Spread over cake.

Substitute for self rising flour: 1 cup regular flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon baking powder.
