YUMMY CHOCOLATE SYRUP CAKE 
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (1 lb.) can chocolate syrup

Cream butter with sugar, beat in eggs. Sift flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with vanilla and syrup. Turn into greased and floured 13"x9" pan. Bake in 350 degree oven about 30 minutes or until done when tested. Take from oven and let cool on rack about 5 minutes while preparing icing. Then pour hot icing over cake and let cool completely. Cut in 2 dozen squares.

ICING:

1 c. sugar
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
1/2 c. semi sweet chocolate morsels

Place sugar, milk and butter in saucepan and bring to boil, stirring constantly. Add chocolate morsels and blend until melted. Pour hot icing over warm cake and spread evenly. Let cool and cut into squares.
