WILTED LETTUCE SALAD 
1 hard cooked egg, sliced or chopped
1/3 c. Bermuda onion, sliced or chopped
3 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
3 strips bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled

Cook bacon in skillet. Remove bacon and set aside. Stir sugar and vinegar into skillet. Cook slowly until very hot. Immediately pour over head of lettuce that has been broken up for salad. (I like to use fresh leaf lettuce.) Toss with other ingredients. Serve immediately.
