DEEP DISH TAMALE PIE 
CRUST:

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
2/3 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c butter

FILLING:

1 lb. ground beef
Onion to taste
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. cumin
1 tbsp. onion salt
1 can tomato paste
2-4 med. tomatoes, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 can kernel corn

TOPPING:

1 c. sour cream
1 c. mayonnaise
1 c. shredded cheese

Make crust with the top ingredients and press into the bottom and sides of a greased 9x13 pan.

Fry ground beef with seasonings, onion and tomato paste. Smooth meat mixture over crust. Top with pepper and tomatoes and kernel corn.

Mix topping ingredients and spread over top. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees F. for 30-40 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips.

Note: If the amount of spices seems too great, reduce to your liking.
