HAMBURGER OR SPEEDY VEGETABLE
SOUP
 
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 bay leaf
3 c. water
2 or 3 beef bouillon cubes
1 lg. sliced carrot
2 stalks sliced celery (sticks)
1 sm. chopped onion
1 reg. can tomatoes
Optional: 1/4 c. rice or barley or diced potatoes

Brown the ground beef. Add bay leaf, water, bouillon cubes, carrot, celery, onion, tomatoes. Cook for 20 to 30 minutes.
