OATMEAL PANCAKES (OR WAFFLES) 
2 c. milk
1/3 c. salad oil
3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. uncooked oats
2 eggs
4 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt

Pour milk over oats and let stand for 2 minutes. Beat in rest of ingredients. Mixture is thin. Pour scant 1/4 cup of batter on griddle, cook until golden brown, turning once. Add spice if desired. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
