1 (10 1/2 oz.) frozen pound cake 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 1 c. sour cream 1/2 c. slivered almonds or other nuts Slice the cake into 6 to 7 layers (length ways) while frozen. Melt the chocolate chips. Add sour cream to the chocolate. Spread on all layers and stack layers into the cake shape. Frost with the remaining chocolate-sour cream mixture. Top with nuts pressed into the frosting. Refrigerate until ready to serve. This is an elegant looking and tasting dessert that is super easy to prepare. Serves 6 to 8 people. |
