TURTLE CAKE 
1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
1 can condensed milk
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1/4 lb. butter
1 lb. caramels
1 c. pecans (broken pieces)

Make the cake according to the directions on the package. Pour 1/2 of the batter into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Let the cake cool.

Over medium heat, mix the milk, butter and caramels until they are melted. Pour over the cooled cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top, also the nuts. Pour the rest of the cake batter over all. Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool completely.

Frost the top only with 1/2 of the recipe for Hershey's chocolate frosting (using the largest amount of cocoa given). It's on the Hershey cocoa box. You can also use your favorite chocolate frosting if you wish. Cut into small squares.
