CHOCOLATE FILLED SNOWBALLS | |
1/2 lb. butter 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. sifted flour (maybe a pinch more) 1 c. finely chopped nuts (opt.) 1 (about 5 oz.) pkg. chocolate Kisses Confectioners' sugar Beat butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add sifted flour and nuts; blend well. Chill dough. Remove foil from Kisses. Shape dough around Kisses, using about 1 tablespoon dough for each. Roll to make a ball. Be sure to cover Kiss completely. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 12 minutes until set, but not browned. Cool slightly. Remove carefully to wire racks. While still warm, sprinkle tops with confectioners' sugar. Store in tightly covered container. Roll in sugar, again, before serving. |
