3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
2/3 c. cocoa
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Over low heat, bring sugar, cocoa, and milk to boil. Cook until thickened. Remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla, beat by hand until butter is melted. Pour candy on buttered plate. Candy will harden as it sits.
