1/2 c. butter or shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 c. pumpkin
1/3 c. water
1/2 c. nuts
Brandy or Rum

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together. Stir into egg mixture with remaining ingredients. Pour into 2 loaf pans. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
