SAUSAGE STEW 
5 carrots
3 ribs celery
2 med. onions
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed beef broth
2 potatoes
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 lb. smoked sausage

Peel and trim carrots. Cut into 1-inch pieces. Put in 4-quart saucepan. Dice celery and add to pan. Peel onions. Cut lengthwise into 4 pieces. Put in pan. Add pinch of black pepper, beef broth and 1 cup water. Bring to boil, lower heat and simmer 10 minutes.

Peel potatoes and cut in large pieces. Add to pan. Cover and simmer until tender about 25 minutes. Put flour in bowl with 2 1/2 tablespoons water and stir until smooth. Stir flour into vegetables. Cut sausage into 1-inch pieces. Add to pan and simmer stew uncovered until sausage is heated through.
