1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
3 egg yolks
4 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Gradually mix first 5 ingredients. Cook until thick. Mix a little hot mixture into egg yolks. Add to hot filling and cook 1 minute longer. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Put in baked crust and top with meringue.
