STEAK SOUP 
1 lb. cubed round steak
1 stick butter
1 c. flour
1/2 gallon water
1 lg. carrot, diced
1 med. onion, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
1 lg. can tomatoes, cut up
4 tbsp. beef stock base granules
Pepper - No salt

Melt butter. Stir in flour and gradually add 2 cups of the water. Stir until smooth. Add all other ingredients except steak. Set aside.

In another pan saute steak until brown; drain. Add to first mixture and simmer, stirring occasionally for 1 1/2 hours.
