FIVE-HOUR STEW | |
2 lbs. beef stew meat 1 lg. can tomatoes 1 bunch carrots, quartered 3-4 potatoes, cut about plum size 2 slices bread, cubed 3 tbsp. tapioca (not minute) 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper Place meat in roaster. Add tomatoes, carrots and potatoes. Add bread, tapioca and seasonings. Bake in 275 degree oven for 5 hours. (NOTE: Don't lift lid until done.) Meat will brown with gravy and vegetables will be firm. Serve with garlic bread and tossed salad. Serves: 6. |
