PRIZE WINNING MEAT LOAF 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
3/4 c. oats, uncooked
1/4 c. chopped onion (1 sm. onion)
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. tomato juice or canned tomatoes
1 egg, beaten

Combine all ingredients. Pack firmly into ungreased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch loaf pan. Bake in a preheated moderate 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. Makes 8 servings.
