FRUIT COCKTAIL GEMS 
1 lb. can (2 c.) fruit cocktail
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda and salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. raisins

Drop cookies on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool thoroughly. These freeze well. Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
