STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen strawberries, thawed
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 qt. fresh strawberries

Cook frozen strawberries and water and bring to boil. Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt and add to hot mixture, stirring constantly until it thickens.

Place fresh strawberries in a pie shell and pour above mixture (after it has cooled) over berries. Top with whipped cream.
