CHEESE STRATA 
8 slices sandwich bread (Pepperidge Farm)
2 c. shredded cheese (Cheddar, havarti and American)
1/4 c. butter
5 eggs
3 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. mustard
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Bacon strips (optional)

Combine eggs, milk, salt, pepper, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Set aside.

Trim crusts from bread. Butter each slice and fit tightly into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. (Only about 5 will fit on bottom, so save the rest for top.) Sprinkle the cheeses over bottom layer and put other 3 slices, cut up, on cheese.

Carefully pour egg mixture over bread. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before baking. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees about 45-55 minutes until puffed and firm in center and very slightly browned. Bacon strips could be put on top before baking, if desired. Serves 6-8.
