OATMEAL RAISIN SPICE COOKIES 
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 lg. egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. each: cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg
3/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. quick-cooking oats
1/2 c. chopped raisins

CINNAMON SUGAR:

2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Cream sugars and butter, add egg and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda, spices, salt. Stir in oats until well blended, then raisins. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Flatten each cookie with glass bottom that has been buttered and dipped into cinnamon sugar mixture.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes until medium brown. Cool on wire rack, not on pan, as they will stick.
