4 c. sugar 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk 1 c. butter 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate piece (not imitation chocolate) 1 (7, 9 or 10 oz.) jar marshmallow creme 1 c. broken walnuts or pecans 1 tsp. vanilla extract Butter sides of heavy 3 quart saucepan. Add sugar, evaporated milk and butter. Cook over medium heat to soft ball stage (234 degrees). Stir frequently. Remove from heat. Add chocolate pieces. Stir until chocolate is almost melted. Stir in marshmallow creme, walnuts and vanilla. Beat until chocolate melts completely. Immediately pour fudge into buttered 13x9x2 inch pan. Score fudge while warm. Cut into pieces when cool and firm. |
