HOT DOG RELISH 
1 peck green tomato

Grind, cover with water and 1 1/2 cups salt. Soak overnight, before adding together ingredients. Drain in bag or sieve. Gently press out moisture. Chop:

1 head cabbage
3 green peppers
3 red peppers
1 stalk celery
6 onions

Combine and boil:

1 1/2 qt. white vinegar
3/4 qt. water
8 c. sugar
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 sm. box whole pickling spice (tied in sm. nylon mesh bag)

Boil for 10 minutes; add ground tomato. Simmer slowly 45 minutes. Put in clear jars.
