3 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
3 1/2 c. flour
4 eggs
2 c. mashed bananas
1 c. pecan pieces, dredged in flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vinegar
6 tsp. buttermilk

Cream sugar and butter together and add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well each time. Sift flour and baking soda together. Add to creamed mixture a bit at a time, alternately with milk, vinegar and banana mixture. You may add 2 teaspoons vanilla if desired. Add pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
