1 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

TOPPING:

1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. soft butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Sift first 3 ingredients. Beat egg with sugar, melted butter, milk and vanilla. Grease and flour square pan. Add 1/2 batter on bottom; pour 1/2 topping next. Add rest of batter and topping. This recipe may be doubled and cooked in a 9x13 pan for a larger group. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
