MEATBALL STROGANOFF 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 egg, beaten (optional)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 - 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 - 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. lemon rind, grated
3 tbsp. minced onion or 3/4 c. raw onion
1 tbsp. butter
1 (6 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. steak sauce or Worcestershire sauce
1 can condensed consomme
1 tbsp. dried parsley or 3/4 tsp. paprika
1/2 c. sour cream

Mix beef, egg, salt, pepper, crumbs, milk, lemon rind and 1 tablespoon minced onion. Shape into balls. Brown in butter; remove. Brown mushrooms in drippings; stir in remaining ingredients except sour cream. Add meatballs; cover. Simmer 15 minutes, place meat on hot serving dish. Stir sour cream into liquid in skillet; pour over meatballs. Makes 4 servings.
