POLKA DOT PUDDING 
2 tbsp. butter (oleo)
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 c. hot milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. stale bread
1 pkg. chocolate chips

Tear bread into small pieces. Put in 1 quart baking dish alternately with chocolate chips. Heat 2 tablespoons butter (oleo) and 1/3 cup brown sugar until sugar is melted. Add hot milk until blended. Cool. Add 2 eggs, slightly beaten with 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Pour mixture over bread and chips. Bake at 350 degrees in pan of hot water for 45 minutes or until set.
