MICROWAVE TACO SALAD 
1 lb. hamburger
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
1/2 c. water
1/2 to 1 pkg. taco seasoning
1/2 head lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces
2 med. tomatoes, cut in chunks
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 c. broken corn chips
Sour cream (optional)
Chili or taco sauce

Brown meat and onions on high for 4 1/2 to 6 1/2 minutes. Stir, then drain. Add beans, water and taco seasoning. Cook, uncovered, 10 to 13 minutes on medium power (50%) or until thick and bubbly, stirring once.

Combine lettuce, tomatoes, and pepper in a salad bowl. Spoon meat mixture over vegetables in bowl. Top with cheeses and chips. Serve immediately with sauce. Top with sour cream.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
