MICROWAVE TACO SALAD 
1 lb. hamburger
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
1/2 c. water
1/2 to 1 pkg. taco seasoning
1/2 head lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces
2 med. tomatoes, cut in chunks
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 c. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
1 c. corn chips, broken
Sour cream (optional)
Chili or taco sauce

Brown meat and onions on high for 4 1/2 to 6 1/2 minutes. Stir, then drain. Add beans, water and taco seasoning. Cook, uncovered, 10 to 13 minutes on medium power (50 percent) or until thick and bubbly, stirring once. Combine lettuce, tomatoes and peppers in a salad bowl. Spoon meat mixture over vegetables in bowl. Top with cheeses and chips. Serve immediately with sauce. Top with sour cream.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
