PARKER HOUSE ROLLS 
1 qt. milk
2 tbsp. shortening
4 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cake yeast
Flour

Scald milk, shortening, sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast dissolved in tepid water. Stiff with warm flour. Raise 2 hours, work down, roll, cut, butter and fold. Raise. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Brush with butter.
