PINEAPPLE BROWNIES
3/4 c. butter, softened
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple in its own juice, well drained
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs; blend well. Add flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; mix well. Place 1 cup batter in small bowl; stir in pineapple. Set aside.

To remaining batter, add chocolate and nuts; mix well. Spread half of chocolate batter in ungreased 9 x 9 inch pan. Spoon pineapple batter evenly over chocolate batter, spreading carefully. Spoon remaining chocolate batter over pineapple batter, spreading to cover.

Bake at 375 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, cut in bars.
