CHOCOLATE VANILLA SWIRL CAKE 
12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
2 1/2 c. unsifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
1 c. milk
1 c. pecans
Confectioner's sugar

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Melt chocolate morsels over hot (not boiling) water; remove from heat and cool. In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine butter and sugar; beat until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each; beat in vanilla. Gradually blend in flour mixture alternately with milk. Divide batter in half. Stir melted chocolate into one half and chopped pecans into other. Alternately layer batters into greased 10 inch fluted or plain pan. Bake 60 to 70 minutes. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan. Dust top with confectioner's sugar.
