BOSTON BAKED BEANS 
Wash 1 package beans. Cover with cold water and soak overnight. Drain and wash. Cook over slow heat until skins burst when you blow on them. Salt pork must be fried and cut into pieces to fit into bean pot.

1 pkg. beans
1/4-1/2 lb. pork
1 onion or more
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 tbsp. brown sugar
6 c. water

Place in bean pot at 300 degrees for 6-8 hours. Keep watch so as they don't dry out. Add water as needed. This is a favored New England Saturday night dinner.
