BEER BREAD 
3 c. self-rising flour
6 tbsp. sugar
1 can beer
1/2 stick butter, melted

Mix together beer, flour and sugar. Put in loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove from oven. Pour butter over loaf. Put back into oven for 15 minutes more. Great for dinner or gifts.

NOTE: Alternative: For every cup of all-purpose flour used, add 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Serves 4 to 6.
