SUGAR CREAM PIE 
1 scant c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 baked pie shell
1 stick butter
2 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. melted butter
Nutmeg and cinnamon to taste

Mix cornstarch and sugar. Add milk and salt and stir. Add 1 stick butter. Cook over medium heat until thick. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons melted butter, nutmeg and cinnamon. Bake at 400 degrees for 5-10 minutes. Cool. Serve with whipped cream.

(For chocolate cream pie, use 1/4 cup cocoa.)
