1 can cherry pie filling
1 pkg. white cake mix
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts (opt.)

Spread pie filling in an 8"x8" pan. Combine cake mix and nuts in bowl. Add butter, mix until crumbly. Spread over pie filling. Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees.
