1 c. chopped dates 1/3 c. sugar 1/3 c. vegetable oil 1/2 c. orange juice 1 c. flour 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1 egg 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tbsp. grated orange rind Combine first 4 ingredients and cook 5 minutes. Cool. Add remaining ingredients. Spread into oiled 8-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool before cutting. 36 bars. 56 calories, 6 carbohydrates, 3 fat, 1 protein, 8 cholesterol, 12 mg. sodium, 1/2 starch, 1 bread, 1/2 pot. I use Eggbeaters. |
