CHEESE STRAWS 
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. butter
1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
3 tbsp. cold water

I add 1/4 teaspoon salt and dash of cayenne pepper.

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and pepper into bowl. Cut in butter and cheese with pastry blender; add water and mix well. Fill cookie press and using star plate form long straws on cookie sheet. Lightly salt tops. Cut into 3 inch pieces. Bake 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees until undersides of straws have color. Cool on rack. Makes about 4 dozen short straws.
