CHEESE STRAWS 
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese
1/3 c. milk
Paprika

Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening and cheese using pastry blender until like coarse cornmeal. Add milk, mix well. Roll dough to about 1/8 inch thickness, cut into strips 3 inches long and 1/4 inch wide. Bake on greased cookie sheet in 425 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 90 straws. Serve with soup or salad.
