NUT BRITTLE 
1 stick (1/4 lb.) butter
1 stick (1/4 lb.) butter
2 tbsp. water
8 oz. pecans
1 rounded c. granulated sugar
1/3 c. light brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Lay pecans flat on buttered cookie sheet. In saucepan, over very low heat melt the butter and butter. Add sugar and brown sugar when melted. Add water. Turn up heat to medium. Cook until hard crack with a candy thermometer. Take off heat and add soda and mix well. Pour over pecans, cool and break into bite size pieces.
