TURTLE CAKE | |
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix 14 oz. caramels 1/2 c. evaporated milk 1 stick butter 1 c. chocolate chips 1 c. nuts Non-dairy whipped topping Prepare cake mix according to directions. Bake half of batter in a 9x13 inch greased pan at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Melt caramels with milk and butter in double boiler. Pour over baked layer. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Pour remaining batter on top and bake another 15 minutes. Serve with whipped topping. May be frozen. Serves 14. |
