1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. granulated sugar, divided
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
Chocolate Kisses

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar and 1/2 cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour to creamed ingredients. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in remaining sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 8 minutes and then press Kiss on top.
