GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE 
1 qt. canned green beans, drained
1/2 lb. bacon
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1 can water chestnuts, chopped
Italian bread crumbs

Fry bacon until crisp; drain, leaving small amount of drippings. Add beans, cooking all the time. Add water chestnuts until heated through. In dish, layer bean mixture and cheese until all is used. Sprinkle bread crumbs and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
