BAKED SPAGHETTI | |
1 (8 oz.) pkg. spaghetti 1 medium onion 4 whole cloves 2 tbsp. butter 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese Cayenne pepper to taste 1 onion, grated 4 strips bacon, barely cooked 1/4 c. pulverized potato chips. Break spaghetti into 2 inch pieces. Cook with whole onion, stuck with cloves, in 2 1/2 quarts boiling salted water, until al dente. Drain. Remove onion, and butter noodles. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a baking dish and add alternate layers of spaghetti and tomato sauce, Sprinkling each layer with parmesan cheese, cayenne pepper and grated onion. Cover with strips of bacon and crumbs. Bake until crumbs are browned, about 20 minutes. Serves 4. |
