CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES WITH NUTS
AND RAISINS
 
2 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. water
2 med. eggs
2 1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. raisins
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate pieces

Beat softened butter, brown sugar and white sugar, vanilla, water and eggs in a large bowl with electric mixer until creamy and well blended.

By hand, stir in flour, baking soda and salt until well mixed. Stir in raisins, nuts and chocolate pieces.

Using a teaspoon (measuring) drop dough onto cookie sheets. Allow 1 to 1 1/2 inches between cookies for spreading. Bake in moderate oven (375 degree) for 8 minutes, or until cookies are browned. Makes about 6 dozen.
