BEEF GOULASH 
1 1/2 lb. beef chuck or round cut in cubes
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. oil
2 c. water
2 c. chopped onions
1 tbsp. paprika
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 bay leaf
1 clove garlic, minced
1 pkg. egg noodles

Dust beef cubes with flour, brown well in hot oil. Add onion; cook about 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, stir to loosen browned bits. Cover; simmer until meat is tender, about 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve goulash over hot noodles. Serves 4-6.
