MOM'S FRUIT COBBLER 
2 c. fresh peaches, apples or other fruit desired
3/4 c. sugar
1 stick butter (1/4 lb.)
1 c. sugar
1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. milk

Combine 2 cups fresh fruit and 3/4 cup sugar and let stand 20 minutes.

Melt 1 stick butter (1/4 pound) in a 1 1/2 quart baking dish in a 350 degree F. oven.

Sift 1 cup sugar and 1 cup self-rising flour in a bowl. Add 1 cup milk and stir briskly, lumps will remain. Pour into baking dish of melted butter that's cooled some; top with fresh fruit of your choice, blended with sugar. Bake in a 350 degree F. oven 45 minutes. Serve.

Use fresh fruits only with juice.
