MRS. MIDKIFF'S CHESS PIE 
5 eggs
2 heaping tbsp. cornmeal
2 heaping tbsp. flour
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
9 inch pie plate or 2 (8 inch) pie pans

Beat well. Place in double boiler and cook, stirring constantly until very thick. Remove from heat. Pour into deep precooked pie shell. If pie pans are shallow you will get 2 pies. Cool. Refrigerate.
