LEMON CHESS BUTTERMILK PIE 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. cornmeal
4 eggs
1/3 c. lemon juice
1 tbsp. lemon peel, optional
1/2 c. buttermilk

Melt butter, add sugar, flour and meal. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add lemon juice, lemon peel, buttermilk. Pour in ungreased 8 or 9 inch shell. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees or until a knife comes out clean and pie is golden brown.
