1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour, unsifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt

Mix. Make into small balls (about size of a walnut) and roll into cinnamon and sugar mixture. Bake in 400 degree oven 8 to 10 minutes.

CINNAMON & SUGAR MIXTURE:

1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Put in plastic bag to coat.
